Florence Moss, age 95, former longtime resident of Chester Twp., passed away Feb. 4, 2017 at Fairmount Health Center in Willoughby. She was born September 15, 1921 in Geneva.
Florence was a member of the Community Church of Chesterland. She was formerly Principal Cellist of the Lakeland Civic Orchestra for many years. Florence also actively played in string quartets. She enjoyed playing card and board games, including bridge and scrabble.
Survivors are her sons, David (Kathleen Cornely) and Jonathan (Donna Craig); grandchildren, Evelyn, Stephen, and Geoffrey Moss; sister, Phyllis Bates; and close family friend Wanda Riddle.
She is predeceased by her husband, Leonard; and brother, Eugene (Teedie) Bates.
Memorial Service 11 am, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Community Church of Chesterland, 11984 Caves Rd., Chesterland, OH 44026.
Private Interment at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Twp.
