He was born March 8, 1989, in Kendallville to Jerry Keister and Sandra (Hughes) Knox.
He was a 2007 graduate of East Noble High School where he was active in wrestling, football, track, show choir, and Raise A Ruckus.
Mr. Knox worked in construction. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kendallville.
Chris loved hunting and excelled with the bow and arrow. He was excellent on the guitar, loved animals, and playing video games.
Surviving are his father, Jerry Keister of Wolcottville; his mother, Sandra (Russell) Knox of Kendallville; a sister, Stephanie (Justin) Dowe of Zionsville; a niece, Finley Dowe; and paternal grandparents, Ron and Ardith Keister of Wolcottville.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Warren and Clara Hughes.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017, from 2 to 5 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.
Per Chris’ wish, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be scattered in the place he loved on the family farm.
