Dennis Michael McGrath, 70, of Danbury, Connecticut, passed away on March 26, 2016. He was born on November 1, 1945, to Lieutenant John Peter McGrath and Helena (Morrissey) McGrath in Bronxville, New York. Dennis served on the front lines in the Vietnam War as a U.S. Marine. He worked as an electrical engineer at ATandT in White Plains, New York. He was a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic church in New Fairfield, Connecticut.
He is survived by his two sisters, Kathleen (McGrath) Gollow and husband, Fran, of Washington, Connecticut, and Patricia (McGrath) Nowlan of Milford, Connecticut as well as 11 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents as well as by siblings John Joseph McGrath, Helen (McGrath) Peterson, and Mary (McGrath) Weber.
Calling hours will take place at the Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester, NY on Wednesday, March 30, from 7:00­9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on
Thursday, March 31, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe, NY, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will occur after services at Holy Mount Cemetery in Eastchester, NY.
