She was born April 10, 1916 in Henderson, Texas to William and Faula Freeze. The family later moved to Nacogdoches where she was valedictorian of her high school graduating class of 1934.
Louise moved to Tyler shortly thereafter where she met Jack Owen. They were married in 1938 and celebrated 63 years of marriage before Jack's death in September of 2001.
Louise is survived by her son Cliff Owen of Houston, daughter Alexandra Jenkins of Dallas, daughter Wyndell Westmoreland of Nacogdoches and son Robert Owen of Tyler. She is also survived by grandchildren Lee Westmoreland and Robert Jenkins and wife Janelle. Louise adored her two great grandchildren Jack Jenkins and Caroline Jenkins. She is also survived by nieces Harviann Perry and Anne Paugh, as well as cousins Nina Buckley, Sam Guerin, Jr. and Hal Bertram. Two special friends, Val Harness and Bill Elliott were also very close to Louise.
