Sharon was born June 16, 1944 in Stanly County to the late Walter Crawford Farmer and Gennie Lee Coley Farmer. She was a 1962 graduate of Aquadale High School and a member of Silver Springs Baptist Church. She was the first Aquadale Fire Department Queen.
She is survived by her sons, Frankie Lee Carpenter (Judith) of Norwood, Danny Lee Carpenter and Randy Williams Carpenter both of Albemarle; daughters, Annessia Carpenter Stroud (Ralph) and Barbara Carpenter Lamb (David) both of Norwood; brother, Jesse W. Farmer of Albemarle; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday afternoon February 11, 2017 at Silver Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
