SALTVILLE - Buford Abel, 79, died Monday in a Marion Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Blanche Jackson Abel; eight sons, John M. Abel, Frank Abel, Fred Abel, Tazewell, George Abel, Saltville, Albert Abel, Reece Abel, Harvey Abel, Marion, Charles Abel, Spotsylvania; a brother, Press Abel, Saltville; three sisters, Mrs. Elmer Perry, Tannersville, Mrs. Elizabeth Mitchell, Manassas, Mrs. Annie Bryant, Tazewell. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Henderson Funeral Chapel with burial in Little Valley Cemetery. ROANOKE TIMES, Tues, Mar 19, 1968
