From the "Raleigh Minerva," Raleigh, NC, 19 Dec. 1817: "MARRIED, in Anson County, late, MR. REDDICK DEAN to MISS MARY MOORE." I don't know what "late" means, perhaps lately?
From the "Pee Dee Herald," Wadesboro, NC, 16 July 1879: "Died: Near this town, on Saturday, the 12th inst., Mrs. Polly DEAN."
Reddick and Polly Dean had at least six children: Moore Dean (1830-1901,went to Spartanburg, SC), Martha Dean (c. 1832), Penelope Dean (1833-1895), Elizabeth Dean (c. 1838-c. 1873, m. Edmund Gray Taylor), Tabitha Dean (c. 1843-1880s, m. Daniel K. Beachum), Harriet "Hattie" Dean (c. 1844-1925, Mrs. Martin Long).
I am not sure that Polly and Reddick are buried here, at her parents' cemetery, but it seems likely.
