Erin Sullivan-Kroeker Braedon, Luke and Leia

Hubbard - Erin Eileen Sullivan was born April 20, 1977 to Dolores May and Timothy Wood Sullivan in Springfield, Oregon. Erin attended elementary, middle and high school in Springfield. She was a good student and was a member of the swimming team and the marching and jazz bands. She graduated from Thurston High School in 1995. She attended Western Oregon University graduating with a degree in music in 2000. Erin met Keith Kroeker and they were married March 31, 2001. After living in Beaverton for a short time they moved to Hubbard, Oregon.

Erin was an excellent mother caring and teaching her children to be helpful, responsible Christians. Erin loved Scripture and participated in Bible studies, women's groups and retreats. She volunteered in her church as a children's church leader, children's church choir, in the church band and working with the sound system. Erin was baptized in the Jordan River while visiting the Holy Land.

Luke Aiden and Braedon Anthony were born August 25, 2006. Leia Grace was born on March 8, 2009. All the children, like their mother, enjoyed music and were involved with piano lessons and sang in the Mid-Valley Community Children's Church Choir. All three children attended Lincoln Elementary Spanish Emersion School. All three children were Christians.

Luke was a burgeoning artist and he loved to draw robots and superheroes, to build cars, trucks, robots and airplanes with Legos. Luke accepted Jesus at a young age and always expressed a desire to help other people. He expressed a desire to become a pastor.

Braedon shared Luke and Leia's interests and talents in music. He was the most athletic and was developing interest in soccer, football and basketball. He loved to run. All three children participated in Karate. Braedon was quite sensitive to those who were struggling socially and often reached out to include them in his activities.

Leia at times, was a princess, a tea party host, a nuisance to her father, a model car driver and a warrior wrestling her brothers. She loved to help her mother in the kitchen. Leia played the piano and sang very well. Leia was the little sister of the family, but don't let that fool you, she had moxie.

Keith provided well for his family and was an elder in his church. His hobbies included mechanics, restoring cars and carpentry. He built a model play house around a tree where he spent many happy hours there playing with his children.

The entire family loved "Gramma Lores". She lived with them off and on for years. The "kids" even named the spare bedroom Gramma Lores room. Dolores helped the family in so many ways. She taught the kids to read, to play games and care for their pets.

Erin and her children will be sorely missed. She was the planner for her family and of the extended family. Erin was at her best when family and friends were around her. She planned a cousins gathering, major holidays, camping trips and outings at the ocean and eastern Oregon.

Erin, her children and Keith perished in the early morning hours of January 3, 2017. She and the kids are survived by: her parents and step-father, Arvid Freiberg; brother Keenan and sister-in-law Marianne; many cousins, aunts, uncles and nephews. Assisting the family is Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
