Cynthia J. Cole, 61, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 after a brief illness at Deer's Head Hospital in Salisbury, Md. where she had resided since 2009. Prior to her illness, Cindy had lived in Salisbury & Florida.
She was born in Salisbury to the late Ronald Powell and the late Serena Bozman Parsons. Cindy had worked as a medical clerk. She loved the beach, going to yard sales, antiques, and crafts. She was a treasured sister to her brother Glenn Powell and his girlfriend Debra Babel of St. Michaels, her sisters, Hattie Widdowson and her husband Keith of Princess Anne, and Nancy Bloxom and her husband Randy of Allen, nieces Rhiana Powell Compton and her husband Greg, and Bonnie Bloxom, and a nephew William Bloxom, great niece, Emelia Rae Compton, several cousins and two great friends, Darlene Brittingham and Theresa Bailey.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the staff at Deer's Head Hospital for their love, kindness and compassion in caring for Cindy.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Westover.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in Cindy's memory to The Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, 1801 Willamette St. Suite 200, Eugene, Oregon 97401.
