In Loving Memory Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend returned to her Heavenly Father on January 25, 2006 surrounded by her loving children. She was born October 28, 1917 at home in Salt Lake City to Lyman Royal and Emmaline C. Martineau. She married Roy Dean Kemp on May 13, 1952 in Salt Lake City. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many callings. She was an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Emma Lou was a Pink Lady volunteer at Pioneer Valley Hospital for 22 years. Emma Lou was a fun loving person who was devoted to her husband, children and family. She was a strong and independent woman, but very loving and had a great sense of humor. She raised her children to be the same. She is survived by her five children, Don (Donna) of Lake Tahoe, CA; Marilyn Babcock of Boise, ID; Deborah (Wayne) Higgs of West Jordan, UT; Craig and Dale, both of Kearns, UT; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Dean; sisters, Jeanne, Vilate and Marian. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28th, 2:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the mortuary and one hour prior to services. A special thanks to the staff and friends at Crosslands Care for the loving care they gave to Emma Lou.
