He was born in Rüstringen, Germany, but was absorbed by Wilhelmshaven.William B. Wolter Sr., 89, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, at the Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee. Born Oct. 21, 1913, in Germany, the son of Wilhelm and Petreke (nee Wubena) Wolter, he died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Hampshire. Burial will take place in the Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee, following the services. Mr. Wolter was a 57-year resident of the Dundee area. He was a former employee of Illinois Hydraulic Construction Company and a member of Teamsters Local #330. He also was a member of the First United Methodist Church, West Dundee . William is survived by his children, William B. "Bernie" (Kathy) of Phoenix, Ariz., Kenneth J. (Janet) of Elgin, Edward M. (Mary) of McHenry, P. Joanne (Gary) Meyer of Hampshire and Michelle A. (Cortland) Gow of Belvidere; grandchildren, Billy, William III "Billy," Christopher, Stacy (April), Bret, Jill, Darci, Jorey, Malissa, Jessica, Jason, Larissa and Joey; and his sister-in-law, June Moran of Diamond Head, Miss. He was preceded in death by his wife, LaMerle Dixon Wolter on June 18, 1997, married Aug. 24, 1943; brother, Arnold; sister, Johanna Lorenz; his parents.
