MRS. MARY CONRAD OF CHARLESTON DEAD

Charleston, Ill, July 14. — Mrs. Mary Conrad, aged 63 years, widow of John Conrad, died at the home of her son, John Conrad, 950 Fourth street, Thursday evening, following a lingering illness. Death is attributed to hardening of the arteries.

The funeral services were held at the son's home this morning. Burial was in Mound cemetery.

Mrs. Conrad, who made Coles county her home for 38 years, was married to John Conrad on November 18, 1880, near Dieterich, Effingham county, where they resided for five years before coming to Coles county in 1885. They moved to a farm seven and a half miles northwest of Charleston, which had been her home until last September, when she came to Charleston to make her home with her son. Mrs. Conrad is survived by five sons, John Conrad, Charles Conrad, Fred Conrad, George Conrad and William Conrad and two daughters, Mrs. Freda Georgenson and Miss Emma Conrad, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
