Born in Show Low, Arizona to Harvest and Velora Hamblin Ellsworth, LaRue Ellsworth Johnson, 71, completed her earthly life in Provo, Utah surrounded by her husband, son, daughter, and son-in-law.

She married Willard Kent Johnson May 18, 1962 in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple.

Providing day care in her home and employed as a secretary for State Farm Insurance, she resided in Orange, California for 44 years. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served as Ward Young Women's President, Stake Young Women's President and Relief Society President. Bringing joy to the lives of all those she knew, LaRue served as Housing Coordinator in the Anaheim, California Mission.

Her loving husband, Kent; children, Beth (Dennis) Stone, Theresa (Rick) Halverson, and Scott Johnson; 15 grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Paul (Dema) Ellsworth, Ardell (Marjorie) Ellsworth, Evelyn (Bob) Gelvin, Joyce Bond, and Ernie (Robyn) Ellsworth survive her. Her parents; a sister, Maxine Smith; and a brother, Franklin Ellsworth predeceased LaRue.
