Services to honor the life of Angela Sue Abbott will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017 in the Chapel of the Garden at Rice Funeral Service. Angela passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at age 50.

Born in Tulsa on March 16, 1966 to John Tiner and Sharron (Jones), and later adopted by Lloyd Neafus. Angela was an entertainer from the time she was a little girl. She loved to sing and perform for family and friends while growing up in west Tulsa. She was a 1984 graduate of Webster high School.

In 1998 Angela moved to Kansas City to pursue her musical career, joining Funk Syndicate and performing with them for over 12 years all over the United States, winning critical acclaim and awards including Kansas City Entertainer of the Year, and opened for many famous artists including Stevie Wonder. She once took second place to Shania Twain in a singing competition. In time she retired from her music career and moved back home to Tulsa in 2012 to be closer to family and friends. In 2015 she married her husband Tony Abbot and began her life as grandmother and housewife. Angela loved being by the water and fishing.

This loving wife, mother and grandmother will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Angela is survived by her husband, Tony Abbott; two sons: Chancie Hargis, his wife Rachel of Claremore, Zane Weaver of Kansas City; one stepson: Clint Abbott of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren: Chancie Roman Hargis, Laura Leigh Hargis, Ethan Abott, Jouslyn Abbott, Keely Abbott; and her grandmother: Beverly Jones of Tulsa; many other relatives and friends who all loved Angela very much
