Carrie was born in Sunbury on October 31, 1918. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a graduate of the former Sunbury High School. Carrie was a member of Camp Hill United Methodist Church where she was very involved in its activities. She was an avid bowler who especially enjoyed bowling with her church friends at the Trindle Bowling Center, Mechanicsburg. A woman of simple needs, she truly enjoyed going out to eat and loved spending time with her family.
Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Baker, on September 8, 1994; and by several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one son, David L. Baker and his wife Pat A. Hixon Baker of East Petersburg; and two grandsons, Chad D. Baker and Darren C. Baker both of East Petersburg.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 16, 2009, at 12: 00 noon in the Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 South 22nd Street, Camp Hill, with The Rev. Tom Willard officiating. Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Township. Viewing will be Thursday in the church from 11 AM until time of the services
Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 South 22nd Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
