Suzanne “Sue” Miller, age 78, of 2130 Harrison Street, Quincy, died Friday, February 10, 2017 at 1:20 am in Good Samaritan Home.
Suzanne was born July 17, 1938 in Medill, Missouri, the daughter of Ivan Virgil “Davie” and Emoline Griggs Gibson. She married Lawrence H. Miller on November 23, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was graduated from high school in Kahoka, Missouri in 1956 before attending nurses training in Quincy. She was employed at Blessing Hospital where she worked in maternity for five years and then nine years in the renal dialysis department.
Sue was involved in the Adams School PTA, and had served as president. She was also a Cub Scout den mother and a Girl Scout leader at Adams School. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors in addition to her husband, Larry, include four children, Cheryl (Terry) Reardon and Jeff (Debbie) Miller, both of Quincy, Steve (Jolene) Miller of O’Fallon, MO, and Carol (Floyd) Hively of Clayton, IL; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Arens of Quincy, Ryan (Allison) Kemner and Justin (Anna) Kemner, both of O’Fallon, MO, Jordan Kemner of Quincy, Sarah (Dustin) DeWitt of Lenexa, KS, Cassandra (Adam) Morris of O’Fallon, MO, Katelyn (Eric) Marshall of Thornton, CO, Reed Miller of Kansas City, MO, Claire Miller of O’Fallon, MO, Rachel Hively of Quincy, and Brett Hively of Columbus, IL; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents.
