Ms. Frances "Fran" Farington Bruce, 81, of 2517 Fresh Water Road, Haw River, NC. died Tuesday at home.
Ms. Bruce, born in Alamance County, was the daughter of the late Broadie Lee Farrington and Roxie Wilkins Farrington. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Ernest, Broadie, Jr., Jesse Farington, Marie Hester, Roxie Foust, Ruth Worth, and Paulette Minor.
She is survived by two sons, Aaron Clayton Rice of Haw River and Daniel Webster Rice of Burlington; sister, Ophelia Farrington Garrett of Charlotte; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, Cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held 1-8 PM, Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the funeral home and Friday one hour prior services at the funeral chapel.
The funeral services were held at 1 PM, Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Alamance Funeral Home with the Rev. Coslow E. Holt, Jr. officiating.
Burial was made in the Hawfield Cemetery.
