Charlotte Bixby Badger, 81, of East Clarendon passed away Thursday evening January 18, 2007, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 10, 1925, in East Clarendon, the daughter of Roy and Laura (Dansro) Bixby.
Charlotte was known to many as "Ma, Ma B." or the "Rabbit Lady."
She attended school in Wallingford.
Her employment included a civilian limo driver for military officers on Staten Island, N.Y., and for Woolworth's Department Store in Rutland.
She was married to Edward Charles Badger on June 22, 1941, in East Clarendon, beginning her true love and passion of wife, homemaker, mother and raising her children.
She was an active 4-H leader for 21 years. She raised and showed rabbits for over 30 years. She enjoyed old-time fiddling.
Her greatest enjoyment was family and the little ones.
Survivors include three daughters, a brother, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; her companion,two nieces and a nephew.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward in 1969; her son, Edward C. Badger Jr. in 2004; a daughter, Laura Chamberland in 2005; and two sisters.
Burial will be the East Clarendon Cemetery.

Charlotte was married and died in the same house she was born in 81 years ago.
