Terry was born in Maysville, on September 2, 1949 to the late Frazee and Betty Jean Davis Manning.
He proudly served his country in the US Air Force as a Staff Sergeant during the Vietnam era stationed in Okinawa, Japan. After his discharge from the Air Force he was in the US Army Reserves for several years.
