Born Nov. 14, 1935, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret Tigglebeck Cox. Lea worked at Supermarket Service, Dunmore, where she retired after 30 years. She also worked at the Globe Store and St. Joseph's Center in Scranton.
She was a member of St. John Vianney Parish, was a girl scout leader, enjoyed reading, watching birds and loved eating her candy.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Rushworth, of Carbondale; four sons, Michael Andrews Jr., Throop; Christopher Andrews, of Newfoundland; Daniel Andrews, of Mayfield; and Timothy Andrews, of Dunmore; nine grandchildren, Serina, Megan, Kelsey, Maura, Kaitlyn, Haley, Michael III, Matthew and Timothy; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua; two sisters, Ila O'Malley, of Florida; and Audrey Dominick, of Scranton.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Patrick and Jack Cox; one sister, Judy Kolinoski; and two half sisters, Mae and Kay.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, Route 106, Royal, celebrated by the Rev. Michael Kirwin, pastor. Inurnment at a later date will be in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.
