Joseph W. Breen Sr. of Quincy, originally from Dorchester, died February 7, 2017.

Joe loved his family and being a "Papa" to his grandchildren. He liked to fish, watch sports, and get morning coffee with friends. Joe was "OFD" and later moved to Quincy.

He was a proud Navy Veteran and served during Vietnam. He worked for the telephone company for over 35 years before retiring. Joe was a jokester and always knew how to make people laugh. He was a generous and caring man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Son of the late Charles and Rita Breen. Survived by his loving family Linda Lombari of Quincy, Candace Boone and her husband Ryan of Middleboro, Joseph Breen Jr. of Easton, and Charles Breen and his wife Shannon of Englewood, FL. Loving brother of Michael Breen and his wife Mary of Quincy, Marianne Kast and her husband Stephen of Quincy, Carolyn Gillis and her husband Tim of Quincy, Janet Scarafone and her husband John of Carver, and the late Charles Breen and his surviving wife Tina. Devoted "Papa" of 5.

Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
