Mary Jane was the daughter of Samuel Wolkitt and Emmeline Nelson. Mary Jane was married to John Galyen and had one daughter Emmeline Francis. When John passed away, she married George W. Wilson in Quincy, Illinois, Feb. 18, 1875. She had four children: Maud, who married James M. Alberts, Mary, who died young, Luella, who married Charles Alberts and a son, James F. After Mary's husband died, she moved in with her daughter Maud and her family. That is where she lived until her death.
