KEYSER, W.Va. - Rebecca P. Bowers, 82, of Route 2, Keyser, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1993 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born Feb. 4, 1911 in Keyser, she was the daughter of the late James and Rosa (Berrett) Pyles. She was also preceded in death by her husband Arnell C. Bowers on June 19, 1980. Mrs. Bowers was a graduate of the Sibley Hospital School of Nursing, Washington, D.C. and was a member of the Worldwide Church of God, Cumberland. Surviving are two sons, Robert V. Bowers, Orange Park, Fla.; David H. Bowers, Tifton, Ga.; one daughter, Mary R. Miller, Fort Ashby, W.Va.; one sister, Elizabeth P. Whisner, Keyser; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services and interment will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Fort Ashby Cemetery with Mr. Davis Grove officiating. The Markwood-McKenzie Funeral Home, Keyser, is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation. Published in The Cumberland (Md.) Times-News, February 19, 1993
