He was born on September 14, 1915 in Pope Co. to Perry and Effie Wilson Vick. He married Bertha Taylor on May 24, 1940 in Jackson MO and she died November 6, 1992. Survivors include a sister, Anna Lee Robinson of Herrin and a brother and sister in law, Robert and Nadine Vick of Herrin. He was also preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Alice Hindman and Ruby Weaver and a brother, Richard Vick
