Jimmy Leitner was the youngest of 7 children born to Josepha Conboy and Charles Bertrand Leitner. He married J. Bauscher in 1954. Jimmy worked as a superintendant at Rockland Cemetery and was a member of the Empire Hose Company of Piermont.
The April 21st 1960 edition of the Orangetown Telegram reported the tragic motorcycle accident which had taken Jimmy Leitner's life on Easter Sunday. A funeral mass was held at St. John's R.C. Church of Piermont on April 20th. Arrangements were made by Stevenson's Funeral Home of Piermont. He was survived by his wife and a son, Gregory James.
