Catherine Ann (Taylor) Van Benschoten was the daughter of Eleazer and Phoebe (Townsend) Taylor. She was the wife of Richard Van Benschoten. They were married Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church, Pleasant Valley, Dutchess Co., New York December 21, 1826. Richard died November 14, 1872.
