Cecil L. Schmidgall, 84, of Mackinaw, IL, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 at
OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Cecil was born January 19, 1933 in Mackinaw
to John and Frances Canopy Schmidgall.
He married Janice Rollings she survives. Also surviving are three children, Bonnie (Jim) Swoop of Gridley, Randy (Jerri) Schmidgall of Mackinaw, Rodney (Tami) Schmidgall of Bloomington, seven grandchildren, Issac, Mariah, Ethan, Laura, Owen, Clairessa, Allison, three great grandchildren, Maverick, Parker, Maci, one sister, Evelyn Smith of Hopedale, three brothers, Duane (Edna) Schmidgall of Morton, Bruce (Velma) Schmidgall of Mackinaw, David (Jan) Schmidgall of Mackinaw.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John and two grandsons,
Jered and Thomas.
Cecil was a Korean War veteran. He served in the Army. He then worked for Sears
for over 37 years. Cecil also ran his lawn mowing business up until his passing.
Services will be 10:30 AM Saturday. February 11, 2017 at Haensel Funeral Home in Mackinaw. The Rev. Jason Siebert will officiate. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Friday,
February 10 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mackinaw Township Cemetery.
