Betty Jane Brewer, age 96, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Pristine Care Center of Centerville. She was born August 7, 1920 in Xenia, the daughter William and Mary J. (Noggle) Laurens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey D. Brewer; sons: Raymond and Keith Brewer; daughters: Oneida Woodrum and Corrine Potter; sisters: Hester Brewer and Lucille Baker; brothers: Marvin and William Laurens and a grandson: William Brewer, Jr.
Betty is survived by her children: Nick Brewer, Debbie Brewer, Mary (Alan) Shrier, William (Brookie) Brewer and Shawn Brewer; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Brewer had worked at Hooven & Allison Rope Factory. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall in Xenia. She loved to flower garden and was known as a wonderful cook and baker, especially known for her homemade noodles and pies. She was a good mother and enjoyed being with her family and serving Jehovah.
She will be interred with her husband during private services Friday, February 17th at 2 PM at Valley View Memorial Gardens. A Memorial Service will be held 3 PM Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 291 N. Bickett Road, Xenia. Services in care of McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N.
