Obituary: David “Lane” Delano Malcomb of Newfane, NY, passed away January 28, 2017 in Buffalo, NY. Born on October 26, 1932 in Holly, WV to the late Marvin J. and Ercil I. (Lake) Malcomb. Married on September 3, 1955 to Vivian Elaine Abrams in Lockport, NY. David served with the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1952. He retired from Harrison Radiator Div. GMC in 1983 after 30 years and moved to Sevierville, Tennessee. David returned to New York in 2003, settling in Newfane, NY. He was active in fishing and hunting until recent years.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children, Arthur (Diane) Malcomb of East Syracuse,NY, Nancy Malcomb of Lockport, NY and Mark Malcomb of Dayton, IN; grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Malcomb of Cicero, NY, Jennifer Malcomb of Minoa, NY, Daniel Malcomb of Lockport, NY, Sean Malcomb of Lebanon, ME, Samantha Malcomb and Joshua Malcomb of Dayton, IN; great grandchildren, David, Katelyn, Amber and Elijah; siblings, Martha “Neva” Morrison of Appleton, NY, Virginia “Dood” Knight of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and several nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his two brothers and sister, Charles “Bub”Malcomb, John “Cam” Malcomb and Janey Lew Hanline.
There will be no prior visitation. Burial in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton, NY will be at the convenience of the family.
