Raymond Pete Sonnier, 93, of Call, Texas died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Magnolia Manor in Groves. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, Feb. 11, at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Trout Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Friday at the funeral home. Born Jan. 7, 1924 in Orange, Texas to Nerry Sonnier, Sr. and Winnie (Ashley) Sonnier, he was a retired operator for Texaco and had lived in Call since 1981. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his children, Sherry Matlock and Clifford of Call and Connie Christopher and Kevin of Port Arthur; 12 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Retha Sonnier; sons, Alan Ray Sonnier and Chris Eugene Sonnier; daughter, Lana Doy Guillory; and grandson, Donald Procell, Jr.
