DOVER: Estella B. (Deckman) Hess, 77, died Sunday morning, July 10, 2005, at her home. She was the wife of David E. Hess, who died on Friday, July 8, 2005.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service for both Mr. and Mrs. Hess at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, with the viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Dover Bethany United Methodist Church, 4510 Bull Rd., Dover. Their pastor, the Rev. Gary Firster and the Rev. Gordon "Skip" Bowen of Mountain Grove Chapel, will officiate.

Burial for both will follow the service in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York. Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hess was born January 22, 1928, in York, a daughter of the late Ethan and Estella C. (Nichols) Deckman. She was a member of Dover Bethany United Methodist Church and a member of William Penn High School Class of 1946. Mr. and

Mrs. Hess leave four children, Joann E. Stover of Dover, David E. Hess of Manchester, Rebecca L. Hess of Dover, and William E. Hess of York New Salem; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Stephen Deckman of Dover.

They were preceded in death by a great-grandson, Dakota C. Kifer, who died on July 5, 2005; and earlier by a brother, Ethan Deckman, Jr., and a sister, Emma Heffner.
