Connie Mae Beck Pierce, 96, a resident of Thomasville, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in Piedmont Crossing Nursing Facility. Mrs. Pierce was born in Davidson County to the late Peter Wagner and Amanda Beck on July 12, 1920. She retired from Thomasville Cabinet Works. Mrs. Pierce was a member of Central Wesleyan Church in Thomasville. She enjoyed gardening, but especially loved looking after her family.

Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James “Dolan” Pierce; her twin sister, Donnie Hill, and her sister Alma Westmoreland.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by her daughter, Gail Tysinger and husband Troy of Montgomery, AL; her son, Dalton Pierce and wife Joyce of Beaufort, NC; four grandchildren, Dalton Scott Pierce and wife Carolyn of MN, Rusty Pierce and wife Angie of Thomasville, Sherry Tysinger of AL, and Beverly Gebhardt of AL; five great-grandchildren, Brandon Gebhardt of AL, Ashton Pierce of Greensboro, Bryson Pierce of Thomasville, Tommy Pierce of MD, and Rebecca Pierce of AZ; two step-great-grandchildren, Seth Roland of Thomasville and Natalie Roland of Greensboro; two great-great-grandchildren, Eli Pierce and Lilly Roland, both of Thomasville; and special friend and caregiver Kathy Hughes and husband Barry.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 2:00PM in Central Wesleyan Church with the Pastor David Albertson officiating. Interment will follow the service in Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends Friday evening from 6-8PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville.
