MILLERSBURG -- Laura Giovanna Butler, 84, of Millersburg, formerly of Fort Pierce, Fla., went home to be with her husband on Monday morning, Feb. 6, 2017, at Aultman Hospital, Canton.

Memorial services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Father Stephen L. Krile officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home. Those wishing to share a memory or make online condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Glenmont, in care of St. Peter Catholic Church, 379 S. Crawford St., Millersburg 44654.

She was born June 18, 1932, in Cleveland, the daughter of Antonio and Jennie (Krasna) DeMarchi, and on May 2, 1953, married Richard Warr Butler. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2003.

Laura was a graduate of West Tech High School, and first worked for Ohio Bell. She later was a homemaker, raising her four children.

She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church of Glenmont, Red Hat Society, Garden Club of Lake Buckhorn and Hand & Foot Card Club. She was an avid reader, enjoyed her garden and making honey-do lists for her husband and kids. Laura loved traveling and enjoyed the many camping adventures that were taken over the years.

Surviving are children, Richard Warr (Rosanne) Butler II of Boca Raton, Fla., Ronald Alan (Lesley) Butler of Canfield, Russell Deane Butler (Judy Greene) and Rebecca Lynn (Robert) Butler-Noll, both of Millersburg; grandchildren, Melissa (Henry) Cabrera, Michael (Melissa) Butler, Katy (Jeremy) Broadwell, Matthew (Kaylin) Butler, Lauren Butler, Brian Butler, Candace French, Erin (Andrew) Frum, Daniel (Deirdre) Rafferty and Rachel Butler; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Callie, Courtney and Nya Butler, Zachary and Benjamin Frum, Kyle, Jenna and Kaitlyn Broadwell, Jacob Butler, Trey Gores, Arayah Seely, Jayden Smith, Piper Miller, Archer Dickerson, Brantly and Brayden Butler; sisters, Linda (Robert) Brown of Greenville, S.C., and Joyce (Harold) Datz of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a brother, Alan (Jill) DeMarchi of Georgetown, S.C.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Andrew Butler.
