Brandon had a heart bigger than Texas, the very one who was so kind, loving, tender, courteous, clever, smart, handy, hard-working, soft spoken who loved his family so much. He took his role as being an Uncle very serious, he loved playing with his nieces and nephews. He was a licensed plumber and he also carried on the tradition of working in the Pipeline Industry like his dad, grandpa, uncle and cousin. He was a member of the Pipeliners Union 798, Tulsa, OK. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting and loved working with wood. He was so talented with anything mechanical and could build anything.
He is survived by His parents Murray and Misty Gilbert of Piedmont, OK, his brother Corey Gilbert and wife Erica Gilbert of Durant, OK, his sister Kellie Bruner of Oklahoma City, OK; paternal grandfather W.A Gilbert of Durant, OK; maternal grandparents Joe Eppler of Durant, OK and Steve and Twyla Hall of Kenefic, OK. Aunts and Uncles include Lee and Crystal Hammock of Denison, TX, Tim and Denita Bennett of Oklahoma City, OK, Keith and Derra Eppler of Silo, OK, and Clint Hall of Kenefic, OK. Nieces and Nephews include Tatum Gilbert of Durant, OK, Wayne, Cason, Trinity, River and Serenity Bruner of Oklahoma City, OK. Loving Cousins include Peyton Hutchinson, Jake and Allee Bennett, Korbin, Kadon, Kensea, Kendyl and Kyleigh Eppler and Kolton Blakley.
He is predeceased by Paternal grandmother Joyce Gilbert, paternal great grandmother Juanita Gilbert, maternal great grandfather W.A. Petty and maternal great grandparents Benita & Pete Eppler.
Services will be Thursday, February 9th at 10:00am at Calvary Baptist church in Durant, OK. We will be having an additional celebration of life service for Brandon Gilbert on Monday, February 13th at 6:30 pm at Putnam City Baptist Church Annex for our family and friends in the OKC metro area.
