Joe was proceeded in death by his parents Joe Cardoso Leal and Maria de Pena Batista, his son Joseph V. Leal Jr, and his first wife of 48 years Lucille Valadao Leal. Joe is survived by his brother Vince Leal and sister-in-law Darlene of Tulare California; his sister Laudina Borba and brother-in-law Joe Borba in Salinas, California. Many loving godchildren, nieces and nephews. Joe was very lucky to have spent the last two years of his life with his second wife Irene Nunes of Tulare and her loving family. Joe was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Anna Maria Leal, Rocklin California and Mary Jane Leal, (Jerry Cordoza) Tulare California. And his pride and joy, his two grandchildren Madison Machado of Fresno, California and Mathew Machado of Hanford, California. Not to be forgotten is his little sidekick and fur-baby Gi-Gi.
Visitation will be held on Monday January 16, 2017, 4 p.m. - 8p.m at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home, 151 North H Street, Tulare. Recitation of the Rosary and Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, 10:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 125 E. Pleasant Ave, Tulare, with burial at Tulare District Cemetery. Arrangement are entrusted to Miller's Tulare Funeral Home.
