My brother was born in Fort Sill, Lawton Oklahoma on January 24th, 1955 to Robert & Shirley Isom.
Randall (Randy) passed away on Tuesday, February 7th, 2017 in Bethany Oklahoma. He was 62 years young. He is survived by his long-time companion & dearest friend Elizabeth (Beth) Poole of Bethany OK; his father, Robert Leland Isom of Norman OK; brother, Mark A. Isom and wife Sherry of Norman, OK; aunt, Lena Earnst of Odessa Texas; uncle, Dan Middleton of Middleton Texas; 2 nieces: Nicole Cunningham & husband Russell of Norman Ok, and Noel Isom Horner & husband Chad of Oklahoma City; 1 nephew, Ty Isom of McLean, Virginia and 2 grand-nieces, Zoey & Alayna.
My brother was born with a disability that some say was his weakness. I believe it was his strength. He didn’t speak much but when he did, everyone listened. He never cursed, didn’t raise his voice in anger, loved to be hugged, and didn’t show hate towards anyone, ever. He enjoyed time alone but he also enjoyed to be around people laughing, talking, and having a good time. He enjoyed being included. He had friends. When I was growing up with Randy, I thought he would always need me. It turned out I needed him more. I will miss my brother
-- by Mark A. Isom.

A celebration of Randy’s life will be held 10am Friday, February 10 in the Chapel at Resthaven. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Transition House in Norman Oklahoma, a non-profit organization committed to providing help to those with mental illnesses.
