Ollie Wallace, 83, of Paragould, went to be with the Lord Monday, February 6, 2017. She was born April 3, 1933, in Brookland, to Charlie and Alice Gatlin. Ollie was a former employee of Ely and Walker Shirt Factory and Gibson’s Discount Center. She spent 24 years collecting money for the Country Five Band at Reynolds Park. She was a homemaker, devoted wife for 60 years to her husband, Hoss, and loving mother to her children. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

Ollie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, B.L. (Hoss) Wallace; father, Charlie Gatlin; mother, Alice Barnett Gatlin Norton; brothers, Kenneth, Charles, and Darrell Gatlin; and sister, Sandra Kay Gatlin Magel.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Randal and Lisa Wallace, of Paragould; daughters and sons in law, Carolyn and James Tilley, of Monette, Judy and Joe Stanfill, of Paragould, and Marsha Wallace, of Paragould; grandchildren, Kim (Bert) Holliday, of Grovetown, Georgia, Lee McClung, Christopher (Samantha) Tilley, Stephanie (David) Poteet, Crystal Traywick (Corey Fletcher), all of Paragould, Heather (Robert) Patrick, of Ravenden, and Nick (Miranda) Wallace, of Memphis, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Hanley and Hayden Holliday, Mary Grace and Braxton Tilley, Preston and Lane Poteet, Jade Moore, Kyle Traywick, Anthony Payne, Levi Raney, Katie Lomax, and Tyler Fletcher; brother, Billie Earl Gatlin, of Paragould; sisters, Selma Reno, of Saint Charles, Missouri, and Catherine Sharpe, of Paragould; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 8, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 9, in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Ollie’s nephew, Packy Magel, officiating. Burial will follow at Clark’s Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons, Lee McClung, Christopher Tilley, Nick Wallace, Jade Moore, Hanley Holliday, Hayden Holliday, Kyle Traywick, Preston Poteet, Lane Poteet, and Braxton Tilley.
