SFC Eddie Ray Eatmon, Vietnam Veteran, Native of Micro, North Carolina.

Sergeant First Class Eddie Ray Eatmon was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, SFC Eatmon served our country until May 2nd, 1970 in Tay Ninh, South Vietnam. He was 34 years old and was married. It was reported that Eddie died from multiple fragmentation wounds from a mine. His body was recovered. SFC Eatmon is on panel 11W, line 084 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 10 years.

Eddie was the son of Ed & Lillie Whitfield Eatmon.

He served with Foxtrop Troop, 2nd Squadron, 11th Armored Calvary Regiment, "Black Horse", USARV.

He was awarded The Bronze Star Medal, The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and The Good Conduct Medal.
