Francis Lee "Kye" Gandy
June 10, 1924 - February 3, 2017

Francis Lee Gandy passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL, Friday, February 3, 2017. Born in Vermillion, KS, Francis moved to Molino, FL to be near his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen (Busalacki) Gandy; parents, Charles and Mina (Wilson) Gandy; brothers, Marion Gandy, Charles Gandy, Virgil Gandy; sisters Winifred Foust and Margaret Ware; son Philip Eugene Gandy; and grandsons Scott Wayne Gandy, Matthew Francis Gandy and Jared Evan Gandy. He is survived by his sisters Martha Baines of St. Clair, MO and Neoma Veloff of Bullhead, AZ; children David (Carol) Gandy of Brighton, MI; Donald Gandy of Milton, FL; Nancy (Andy) Aguinaldo of Murrieta, CA; Joseph (Linda) Gandy of Marthasville, MO; Thomas (Jamie) Gandy of Molino, FL; Norma (Parker) Lanham of Pacific, MO; and Lisa Gandy of Molino, FL. He has 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Prior to moving to Florida, Francis resided in Lonedell, MO for 30 years. He had worked as a sheet metal worker and machinist prior to his retirement. He donated his time to driving for the food pantry of St. Clair, MO. He loved traveling, bee keeping, gardening, crocheting, going to the horse and dog tracks, casinos, and spending time with his family. Francis proudly served in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). He also served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
A kind, devoted and loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, great uncle, and cousin, who will be sadly missed and most lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 10, 2017 from 10:00-11:30 AM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, Pensacola, FL, with an interment to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola NAS, FL.
