Norma (Wood) Kennedy, 80, of Olton, died Monday, February 6, 2017, in Olton. Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 10, 2017, at Main Street Church of Christ in Olton. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Thursday, February 9, 2017.

Norma was born February 7, 1936, in Quemado, N.M., to Cecil and Nell (Addison) Wood. She graduated from Olton High School in 1954. On July 11, 1954, Norma married T.C. Kennedy in Olton. She worked as the city secretary for Springlake until her retirement in 1998. A talented seamstress, Norma also loved reading and genealogy. A former Girl Scout Leader and president of the TOPS Club, she enjoyed animals (especially cats) and was crazy about her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Ruth Wood, a brother, Andrew Wood, and a son-in-law, Ted Rankin.

Survivors include her husband, T.C. Kennedy of Olton, her son, Chuck Kennedy and wife, Aracely of Springlake, and two daughters, Karin Heymer and husband, Galen of Canyon and Connie Adcock and husband, DeWayne of Miami, TX. She was blessed with eight grandchildren: Michel, Jason, Miranda, Thomas, Dylan, Maria, Daniel, and Tyler and 11 great-grandchildren: Kaden, Kate, Mason, Paige, Alex, Colton, Abagail, Noah, Ella, Jase, and Lily.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Runningwater Draw Care Center P.O. Box 409 Olton, TX 79064.
