JEANNE ROMIG BELL
AGE 93 YEARS
Jeanne Romig Bell, of Kilmarnock, Va., passed away on Feb. 7, 2017, in Kilmarnock.
Jeanne was a daughter of Leah and Scott Romig.
She attended South Williamsport Area High School. She married Robert O. Bell. She graduated from business school and worked as a bookkeeper. Jeanne enjoyed travel and visited Europe and the Caribbean Island of St. Croix numerous times.
She loved the game of golf and was a member of the ladies golf league at White Deer Golf Course in Williamsport. She and her golf friends took many golfing trips to Myrtle Beach, S.C. For many years, Jeanne vacationed with her children and grandchildren in Myrtle Beach, S.C. In 2013, at the age of 90, Jeanne visited Myrtle Beach one last time and sat on the beach with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jeanne is preceded in death by a daughter, Kathryn Kendrick Bell; a son, Scott Richard Bell; and her sister and only sibling, Dr. Roseanne M. Brooks.
Jeanne is survived by a daughter, Ann E. Bedford (Steve), of Burgess, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Ann Bell (Scott), of Roswell, Ga.; and granddaughters, Ashley Weckback (Jeff), of Jacksonville, Fla., Sarah Jeanne Bowis (Justin), of Reedville, Va. and Stacy Ann Bell of Roswell, Ga. She has five great-grandchildren.
A family graveside service will held at a later date and burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Williamsport.
