Florence Duncan Sanders the daughter of Flynn and Lyddie (Eli) Duncan was born May 14, 1945 in the Bell Community and departed this life on February 7, 2017 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years, 8 months and 24 days.

Florence loved her family and she enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner every week. We was a member of the Sanders Flat Baptist Church and she loved serving the Lord. She enjoyed riding around and seeing the beauty of God's creation. Her family was very important to her and she loved them dearly. She was an avid OU fan and she enjoyed going to garage sales. Florence had a special spot in her heart for children and she dearly loved her job as a Head Start teacher for the Cherokee Nation. Florence touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Grover Sanders; her brothers Clyde Duncan, Roger Duncan, and John Duncan; her sister Fayola Flute; 2 infant siblings; 1 granddaughter Nina Watie and 2 great granddaughters Kodie and Korie Teehee.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Patsy Garcia and companion Ronnie Jones, Thomas Watie, Darrell Wayne Sanders and companion Suzanne Duncan, Raymond Sanders and wife Victoria Grimmett, Joe James Sanders and wife Jaselyn, Valerie Sevenstar and husband Lee, and Raymond Sanders Jr. all of Stilwell; her brother Tom Duncan and wife Lucinda of Stilwell; her sister Ann Tarin and husband Thomas of Stilwell; sister-in-law Marietta Duncan; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild Stella Kay Auffet.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2017 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. John Flute and Bro. Wayne Bunch officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
