Gretchen Ann Williams was born to parents Chester and Mary Lamb. Her early years were spent around Dallas and Paris, Texas. The family moved to Denver, Colorado where she graduated from Annunciation High School in 1953. She met the love of her life Raymond V. Williams, in 1953 and they married on May 10, 1954. The newlyweds moved to Sebastopol, California to help run the family dairy farm. While helping with the family dairy, Raymond and Gretchen started their family in 1956. The young family moved up to the Yamhill County area in 1965. She enjoyed gardening, poetry, antiquing, but most of all she enjoyed raising her family. She was a mom and grandma to more than just her own kids thru the years.

Gretchen is survived by her husband Raymond Williams; a brother Charles Lamb, three sisters, Zora Redwing, Camille Lockling, and Linda Tappert; five children Jim Williams (Marge), Mary Rogers, Andy Williams (Debbie), Edie Williams, and Joe Williams; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
