Willie “W.L.” Barnhill, of Wilmington, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
W.L. is survived by his wife Helen Barnhill, his daughter Tracy Williams and husband Eddie, his son Stacy Barnhill and wife Brooke; two grandchildren, Taylor Leigh Williams and Parker Laston Barnhill; and four siblings and his two four-legged companions, Sadie and Molly.
He worked with NASCAR and Screen Gem's for many years. He was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather. He was respected by many and will be deeply missed.
The family received friends on Monday, March 24, 2008 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Interment was held privately at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
A special thanks to his coworkers at Screen Gem's (One Tree Hill), Dr. Arb and staff, the nurses on 8th South at NHRMC and to all his friends who played an important part in his life for their devotion and compassionate care shown to WL and his family.
