Rev. Willie Ray Perkins, age 70, of R.D. Rains Road, Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the Jellico Community Hospital in Jellico, Tennessee. He was born on June 6, 1946 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Ruben Junior Perkins and Margie Perkins. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (Bryant) Perkins; a brother, Junior Perkins; and a sister, Opal Gordon.
He is survived by four daughters, Linda (Johnny) Carr of Williamsburg, Opal (Rick) Hatfield, of Clearfield, Tennessee, Willie Joe (Teddy) Cureton of Williamsburg and Eugina Sue Perkins of Williamsburg; four sons, Johnny Ray Perkins of Williamsburg, Junior Ruben (Angie) Perkins of Jellico, Tennessee, John Everett Carr Jr. (Courtney Canada) of Williamsburg and Little Willie Perkins of Williamsburg; 22 grandchildren; a host of great and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Farmer and Darlena Sue Carmichael, both of Cawood, Kentucky; one brother, James Martin Perkins of London; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Teddy Cureton officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Douglas Cemetery in Oswego, Tennessee.
