Jean was born March 4, 1924 in Franklin County, Alabama, the daughter of Wilson and Willie Blackburn Morrow.
She retired from Proffitts Department Store where she worked as a sales association for many years.
Jean was a long-time member of Robertsville Baptist Church. She enjoyed life in general and was always willing to experience new things.
She is survived by her husband, John M. Berry, with whom he celebrated their 72nd anniversary in November. She is also survived by daughter, Margaret Carol Horton and husband Edward of San Diego, CA; sisters, Margie Hollis of San Francisco, CA and Anita Jo Davis of Sackett Harbor, NY and grandson, John Marshall Horton, a student at UCLA Medical School in Los Angeles.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 10am – 12 pm at Weatherford Mortuary.
The funeral will follow at 12 pm with Pastor Brian Scott officiating.
Family and friends will gather for a graveside service on Thursday at 11am at Hall Town Cemetery in Franklin County, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, part of the Berry family, of Red Bay, AL will be helping the family with those arrangements.
The family asks that any memorials in Jean's name be made to Alzheimer's TN.
