SLIPS IN TUB OF BOILING WATER, DIES
“Mrs. Sophie Kapple, 86 years of age, mother of Frank Kapple, 9533 Longwood Drive, died Wednesday morning. While letting the hot water run in the tub for a bath, Saturday, Mrs. Kapple slipped and was scalded before the water could be turned off. She died Monday from the effects of the shock and burns.
Funeral services were held from the home of her son on Thursday afternoon and the body was taken to Gray’s Lake, Ill. for burial.”

“KAPPLE – Sophia Thomson Kapple, Feb. 6, 1924, age 86 years, survived by twin sister, Mrs. Isabelle Rathbun, mother of Agnes S. Smith of Grays Lake, Delle K. Tucker and Frank Kapple. Funeral at home of son, 9533 Longwood dr., Thursday, Feb. 7, 11 a. m. Interment Fort Hill, Lake county, Ill."
