Judy Weatherford Freeman, 86, passed away on February 3, 2017.

HEAVEN CAN’T WAIT!

Judy was born October 30, 1930 in Dallas, Texas to Marion and Leslie Pollard. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1947. She attended Texas Tech University her freshman year and then transferred to The University of Texas where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church, Dallas Women’s Club, Junior League of Dallas (where she performed in three “Junior League Follies”), Judy loved volunteering for Presbyterian Hospital, HPPC and acting in the Junior League Children’s Theater. She enjoyed competing in ballroom competitions while in her 40s and 50s.

Judy had a special place in her heart for dogs, horses and all of God’s creations. She was loved by so many and brought nothing but joy and happiness to our family. The memory of her smile, kindness and laughter will stay with us forever.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Wally, her parents, her brothers Wallace Cochran and David Pollard, and grandson Peter Rexroat Weatherford.

She married William E. Weatherford in 1950 and had four children, Billy, Julie Crawford (Clay), Mark (Kay) and Mimi Nolan (Mike) who blessed her with 16 grandchildren; Jackie, Will, Sam, Andrew, Grace, Joe, John, Stephen and Peter Weatherford, Bobby and Charlotte Weatherford, Jamie, Francis, Georgia, Maggie, Annie Nolan and eleven great grandchildren. Judy loved her two step daughters, Dabney Carlson (Richard) and Megan Yeager and her eight step grandchildren, William Smith (Kellie), Clay A. Crawford, Wells Crawford, Thatcher Crawford (Hannah), Coleman and Dodd Yeager and Abigail and Norianne Monigold.

She is also survived by her loving sisters Bonnie Brown and Gretchen Richardson. Judy was loved and cherished by so many and will truly be missed. Thanks to all that loved her like we did. The family would like to express their gratitude to the PALS and the entire staff of the Belmont Village. We are forever grateful for our two very special angels who took such loving care of our mother - Angela Njie and Jessie Mosley.

A memorial service will be held at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, 3821 University Blvd. on Wednesday, February 8th at 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the S.M. Wright Foundation, Clayton Dabney Foundation, Equest or the charity of your choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75243.
