RALEIGH, NC; Funeral services will be held for Corey E. Brown, 33, at the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 405 East 5th Street in Homer, LA on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert McGaha, officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery of Homer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Corey was born March 4, 1983 in Houston, TX to Frank and Sherry Calvit Brown. He entered into rest Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in Raleigh, NC following a sudden illness. Corey was a loving son, husband, father and friends with so many. Corey’s favorite things to do were spending time with his wife and kids. His interests were computers, video games, salsa dancing with his wife, playing guitar, basketball, playing at the park with his kids, a good glass of wine and quality time with his wife. He loved spending time with his mom, dad and family.
Corey was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willie Edward Calvit and Mildred Sue Calvit; and paternal grandfather, Howard John Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Perez Brown; his parents; paternal grandmother, Marie Brown; mother-in-law, Maria Perez; father-in-law, Bernardo Rodriquez; 5 children, Michele, Brown, Eric Brown, Alyssa Brown, Angel Grandos and Andrew Kovak; an uncle, John Brown and wife Lon; 2 aunts, Marianne Avila and husband Frank and Carolyn Enriquez and husband Carlos; cousins, Jeromy Phillips, Johnathan Cagle, Kara, Johnny, Jason and many more cousins; his best friend, William Molina; and numerous other relatives and many friends.
