Paul Thomas “Buddy” Coffey, 64, widower of Judy Mae (Eckard) Coffey, of 2041 Barterbrook Road, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Coffey was born on April 9, 1952 in Staunton, Virginia, a son of the late Paul Hardy and Viola Margaret (Fitzgerald) Coffey.

Paul retired from Webster & Webster as a foreman for over 40 years and he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two infant children; and a sister, Juanita LaVonne Hodge.

Surviving is a son, Matthew Thomas Coffey and his wife Kari of Churchville; a daughter, Carol Renee Coffey and her companion Christopher Sandridge of Staunton; a sister, Carol G. Lawson of Staunton; and five grandchildren also survive.

A Celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Rev.William "Bill" Trice.

Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Richard Botkin, Mikey Woolridge, and the co-workers at Webster & Webster.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
